JOHN BLEDSOE
The virtue of patience comes easy for no one. For a doctor, it could be the difference between life and death. For a baseball player it could be the difference between a strikeout and a home-run. And for Warren Buffett, it was the difference between poverty and being a billionaire. The patience alone was hardly Buffett’s key to success. Buffett also exhibited the hard-working attitude; a resilience to the pressures of this world; and obliviousness to what others are saying about him; and most of all, Warren Buffett exhibited a heart of compassion through philanthropy. All of this bundled together, along with an uncanny mathematical ability, created the entrepreneurial success Buffett was. Warren Buffett demonstrated that face value has nothing to do with what the heart is composed of, but in Buffett’s case, his heart was just as big if not bigger than his prodigious net worth.
